Holiday Camps:

 

  • The CNY Holiday Camp is conducted on a half day basis.  In general Program starts at 9 am and finishes at 2 pm daily, for seven days with a break for lunch.  Students are on a location film shoot and therefore start and finish times are adjusted after the first day to allow for weather and shooting schedule. CNY Holiday camp venue TBA.  Public holiday days the start and finish times are flexible and adjusted according to shooting schedule for the day.  Participants will produce and screen their own film using professional equipment and guided by experts in the field.  All workshops conducted by overseas diplomates in Film and Video Studies and/or are working professionals in their field.  The ratio of instructor to student is one to seven.

  • All Hong Kong five day holiday camps are conducted from Ten am to Six pm with a break for lunch, Monday through Friday unless otherwise specified.  The basics of film production are covered in the first day and shooting commences on Day Two.  Times and locations for days Two Three and Four are flexible as this is an on-location film shoot.  Participants are put on a real live production so starting times will vary as to what scenes are selected by directors to shoot, weather conditions, location restrictions and other variables.  Students are given a lunch break every day.  Students have the option to bring their own lunch or go off campus.  Lunch is not provided as part of the program.  The final section of the camp is spent in Post Production and there is a Screening of the works on the final day.  The screenings  are open to friends and family of the participants.  In general screenings take place from six to eight on the friday, subject to change.  All workshops conducted by overseas diplomates in Film and Video Studies and/or are working professionals in their field.  The ratio of instructor to student is one to seven.

 
Topics covered in all camps are:  acting for camera, directing for camera, pre production, line producing, script writing, script breakdown, storyboarding, production roles, set protocol, camera operation, lighting, sound, acting, directing, production management, post production, editing and screening.

High end video production equipment is used including Pro HD cameras, fluid head tripods and professional editing software.  Instructors are diplomates of overseas major Film Universities with current professional credits in the industry.

All participants Act, Edit, Direct and Produce their own short films

Once registration is completed, a camp package is sent to all participants with learning materials and detailed schedules.

  • Hong Kong Camp venue  Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri  :  Visual Arts Center, 7 A Kennedy Road, Central, Tuesdays are entirely on location, shoot is subject to change and site tba: Course Fee:  3,500 hkd all inclusive of administration, equipment and materials
