English Language Film and Drama Program

Description:

Focus on Film, Hong Kong’s premiere youth visual arts organization, is touring the schools with a specifically tailored workshop in film production.  Participating schools looking to fulfill the government initiative to provide students with quality English language exposure can do so through our workshops.

Emphasis is on storytelling as students get exposure to English language performance through

• Acting for the camera
• Directing the actor
• Shooting drama performance
• Producing drama on video
• Editing dramatic performance

A variety of script support is used in order to increase students’ knowledge of classic dramatic pieces as well as new and original English works.  Through the magic of hands on video production, students become familiar with English language dramatic production and as a result have a completed film of their work to present.
